WHAT A NIGHT...WHAT A START! The Miami Launch Party Event.         

A packed house, champagne reception, dancers on the stage,  a burlesque show behind the main bar, smoke emanating from the ground, our Nightlyfe Logo on the big screen and a good mix of house, hip hop and club beats with a live percussionist accompanying the music...heck even Miss World 2004 showed up.

That was the scene at the fantastic venue, The Fifth.

Our hosts lead by Miami's night life maestro, Gerry Kelly, provided us the perfect setting and atmosphere to kick off our Launch Party Series. The party finally wound down at around 4:30 when even the most blissful party goer's finally called it a night. As for the Nightlyfe Staff, we were treated to a special rooftop sunrise fete by our publisher. We will most definitely be in South Beach for another spectacular event. Probably sooner than later.

3 THINGS TO LEAVE AT HOME WHEN YOU GO OUT

1. That Bluetooth Headset.

Nothing has managed to come off as both obnoxious and cool in the same breath. In our opinion, unless you are driving, in a meeting or in a necessary situation, walking around with a bluetooth attached to your ear like jewelry just seems wrong. Especially at a nightclub! It just draws attention to you in the wrong kinda way.

2. The Super Oversized Watch.

That trend faded circa 1999. Now you would be mistaken for someone with some sort of vision problem. It is now more prudent to wear a more understated but fashionable time piece. We suggest you use your oversized watch as a clock.

3. The Sleeveless Logo Euro T-Shirt. 

Unless you are a male model or can legitimately pull off this look, we advise you to leave it in the closet. Alone in Miami, we saw at least a dozen guys of a "more rotund" figure trying to sport that look.  Every fashion is not made for every person. This goes for skinny guys as well. If you don't have the guns to show off, don't wear it.
